Lisa "Left eye" (Nicole) Lopes: Hip Hops brightest

Lisa Nicole Left eye Lopes was a member of very famous and popular Hip-Hop Trio Group TLC. Lisa Lopes was a solo artist, humanitarian for Hispanics as well as the African American community, a great cook, and a rapper. Left eye as she was affectionately known was a dream girl because she had many talents that she continued to perfect as time went on. Left eye had many talents that she wanted to share with people from all walks of life. She continuiously looked for ways to share some of the talent she had with her fans. Lisa Lopes was later labeled a humanitarian icon by her fans because of what she was doing in Honduras.
Unfortunately, much like Aaliyah, she too was taken from us at a very relatively young age. Her Birthday was May 27, 2002 in which she would have turned 31. Eight months later on April 26, 2002, the world woke up to the once more horrifying news that we had lost another rebel of cause and purpose, many had the thoughts of not again. Not again, was the only thing that the true dream girls could say. No one could believe that we had lost another very real, down to earth, and passionate World Icon. While many were at a lost for words, others could not hold their compossier for long.
Two Angels gone back to back was to much for anyone to bare. To make matters worse, the Media continued to report facts about Left eyes passing that were not true, this in fact outraged many. At the time of Left eyes passing, she had a cooking show and several childrens book that she wanted to present to the world, but before this could take place, God called her home to receive her wings. You are as well as Aaliyah, sorely missed! We love you and will never ever forget you!

Aaliyah Dana Haughton: The First Million Dollar Princess!

Aaliyah, another Dream Girl was taken from us at a very early and youthful age. Aaliyah was a very talented young woman in her own right. She inherited lots of family talents and business like history, due to the upbringing of her parents, King and Queen Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Diane Haughton. Aaliyah had talents that were limitless. Aaliyah had many followed devotings from Music, Modeling, Acting, and even choreography at the time of her untimely passing.
She had the heart of an angel, she had several charities that were close to her heart. Charity Organizations that assist the sick that Aaliyah supported, range from Parkinson's Disease, Althzimers, Dimensia, and several other diseases.
On Saturday August 26, 2001, the world awoke to the news that we had lost Aaliyah in a plane crash. Aaliyah died in a plane crash as a result of Blackhawk Airways' faulty customer service practices. Aaliyahs family filed a wrongful death suit against Blackhawk Airways and although they settled out of court, they still won. At the time of Aaliyahs passing she was scheduled to appear at an awards show which was broadcasted live on television, BET. Aaliyah was a dream girl because she experienced more in a just a few years than anybody has ever had the opportunity to do. She lived a full life, a life full of accomplishments that no one could ever accomplished in the short time that she did. She was a very intelligent young lady that possed the integrity, dignity, grace, and poise to reach higher heights.
Aaliyah, you just don't know how sorely you are missed by everyone!

Laila Ali! The Million Dollar Woman!

Laila Ali is the daughter of Heavy Weight Champion Muhhamud Ali. She herself is an undefeated Heavy Weight Champion, Model, Television Show Host and Co-host as well, and the Co-author of her own Book "Reach." Laila wedded former NFL Quarterback Curtis Conway in the summer of 2007. She is another Dream Girl because she allows her light to shine in many ways and continues to do so by *reaching (refer to her book) out to others who need her courage and inspiration, as well as those that are less fortunate and she has a special place in her heart for the less fortunate.

Unlike so many celebrities in the spotlight, Laila refuses to take people and what she does for a living for granted and she proved that when she opened up to the world, truely like no other, leaving her audiences and fans driven to reach. She reached out to those who have been in her shoes and are there now, but with a touch of love; she did this by sharing her most intimate life learned lessons. The Book is beyond all of that and more! Laila is a beautiful, jazzy, intelligent, intriguing, vibrant, and vivacious woman who has the talent to reach even higher heights, and at the same time, she dares those from all walks of life to believe in themselves and stick to what you want out of life with grace, poise, dignity, humility, love, and patience. What other celebrity, regardless of status and direction from which their fame comes, wants you to succeed at whatever you touch? NO BODY at all comes close to her. She not only talks the talk, but she walks the walk! Like it was stated earlier, NOT ONE NAME comes to mind, but hers! You go girl, with your bad self!

ROSA PARKS

Rosa Parks is the woman that started the Civil Rights Movement. Becuase of her profound prophetic act of refusing to give up her seat to a White Passenger on a bus, a 381 day Bus Boycott was started in Montgomery, Alabama, after she was arrested and made to pay a $14.00 fine for civil disobediance, landing her the title of "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement." Rosa Parks had no idea that her refusing to give up her seat would make African Americans free today to sit anywhere they want to on any bus, nationwide. She is another Dream Girl because she dared any black person to feel as though they were as equal as the next person and dared you to believe that you deserved to be treated as a Child of God and not Dirt in the woods. She went home to the lord, taking her final rest, in the City of Detroit, Michigan on Monday October 24, 2005 after a job well done.

Leo Frank Exhibit

Visiting this museum was a new experience for me. I had heard about the Holocaust many times but it became a reality to me while visiting the William Breman Jewish Museum. Blacks as well as Jews have much more in common than I realized.

Just in observation, it seems to me whites hated Jews as much as they hated blacks. This was an eye-opener to me. To know that they would take the word of a black man over a white man, even though he was a Jew, is something to phathom. It is wonderful learning new things and visiting new places and just allowing myself to think outside of the box.
