Hillary Clinton

Hillary Rodham Clinton

"Our lives are a mixture of different roles. Most of us are doing the best we can to find whatever the right balance is...For me, that balance is family, work, and service."

Hillary Diane Rodham, born October 26, 1947, the first child of Dorothy and Hugh Rodham. I am sure never in her wildest dreams did she expect her life to be so fulfilled. However, here she is sixty years later about to possibly be the first woman President of the United States. She is a true dream girl by all rights.

They both lived a good life and left the earth on the same day. July 12, 2007, great women always connect.

Marrilynn's Dream as a Dream Girl

For I've had the chance to met and experience so much in my life, Thanks too my mother Annie L Johnson, who was determine to teach me and guide me to live my dreams, but more than anything I'm greatful for the Love I've recieved from God who has open my eyes to know that it's not my dream, but that he has given me to dream. Knowing that he care so much for me and has given me the opportunity through my relationship with him to beable to soar like an Eagle, never fainting and trusting him to position me for his glory of my life. For I desire to become like some of those that we have spoken about in this blog not just talking but become living evidence that I am a part of the CHANGE for a greater and peaceful tomorrow.

Coretta Scott King

"When you are willing to make sacrifices for a great cause, you will never be alone."

Coretta Scott King, wife of Civil Rights Leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I am sure had no idea she would play such a vital role in not only the lives of her four children but also the lives of millions of other people during her lifetime. Her husband said he had a dream, however, the dream came in to focus only after he had long past away and she remained to carry the torch. She was a dreamer who knew no boundaries but looked to God for even her very strength to endure the years to come.

Bernice King

She is nationally and internationally known as one of the most powerful, motivating and life-changing orators and speakers. She leaves her audiences spellbound and challenged. Born the youngest daughter of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, Bernice King began her oratorical journey when she spoke in her mother's stead at the United Nations at age 17.
She has a great concern for the young people in our society today and she is a strong promoter of all that her father stood for. She herself is a dreamer and dares others to do like wise.

DREAM AND WHAT IT REALLY MEANS

A series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.
A daydream; a reverie.
A state of abstraction; a trance.
A wild fancy or hope.
A condition or achievement that is longed for; an aspiration: a dream of owning their own business.
One that is exceptionally gratifying, excellent, or beautiful: Our new car runs like a dream.

In All Ways A Woman by Maya Angelou

Being a woman is hard work. Not without joy and even ecstasy, but still relentless, unending work. Becoming an old female may require only being born with certain genitalia, inheriting long-living genes and the fortune not to be run over by an out-of-control truck, but to become and remain a woman command the existence and employment of genius.........

It is imperative that a woman keep her sense of humor intact and at the ready. She must see, even if only in secret, that she is the funniest, looniest woman in her world, which she should also see as being the most absurd world of all times. It has been said that laughter is therapeutic and amiability lengthens the life span. Women should be tough, tender, laugh as much as possible, and live long lives. The struggle for equality continues unabated, and the woman warrior who is armed with wit and courage will be among the first to celebrate victory..........

Stil I Rise

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history With your bitter twisted, lies, You may trod me in the very dirt But still, like dust, I'll rise

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.

Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise

I rise
I rise.

Sweet Auburn Avenue

The True Dream Girls in collaboration!

This was one of the most enlightening experiences I have had in many years. There were so many people from all walks of life there to tour the various areas where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had lived, played and grew up. The Civil Rights Movement has affected not only African Americans but different nations of people all over the world. It astounded me to see so many different races of people; Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanics, Indians and the list goes on and on.

Praise God for people like Dr. King who help to shape this whole world!

A MIND BLOWING FANTASTIC TIME!

The Dream Tour !

My favorite part of the Auburn Avenue trip to the King Center was learning that there was so much that I did not know. I also enjoyed going to the Holocaust Exhibit, I learned that Black History is in fact connected to the Jewish. The Jewish synagogue was bombed because of it's affiliation with late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
